Thanks to the application of the latest 'Creative Technologie', Citroen's new eTouch Emergency & Assistance System has been awarded the prestigious Euro NCAP Advanced accolade at the Paris Motor Show. The Euro NCAP Advanced Reward recognises Citroen's drive to improve safety and security through the application of this new technology.
The Citroen eTouch Emergency & Assistance system will be available in the UK on New C4, C5 and DS3 models, as well as C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso.
The innovative eTouch system features an automatic SOS emergency call function in the event of an accident. Drivers also have the ability to manually call for assistance and roadside recovery by pressing a separate 'Double Chevron' button. With its integrated GPS and SIM card, the innovative Citroen eTouch system sends the exact location of the stranded vehicle to a central call centre.
The multi-function eTouch System also delivers a range of useful monitoring services for owners. The system allows drivers to consult information online in their 'MyCITROEN' personal space, which enables them to monitor their vehicle's maintenance requirements and to receive advice on improving their fuel economy. These services are free and available 24-7.
