Medieval Normandy…Cistercian Abbeys….Michelin-starred restaurants…a jet fighter…and one of the most famous British sportscars of the last fifty years.

British thrill-seekers, day-trippers or holidaymakers can now combine the rental of a Caterham Seven two-seater with guided tours of some of the most idyllic and historic French landscape, a gastronomic delight or even a thirty minute flight in a Fouga Magister Jet Fighter.

Based around the colourful Normandy, Champagne and Ile de France regions, the unique rental breaks, which can either last a matter of hours or a full week, are the brainchild of Philippe Duflos and Jerome Vermont of Cat Seven.

Having gained its notoriety in the classic 60s TV series, The Prisoner, the modern day Seven, is widely hailed as one of the best handling sportscars in the world.

“What better way to explore France than behind the wheel of one of the most famous cars in the world?,” enthuses Duflos. “Whether you are making a special trip or as an add-on to your French holiday this summer, it really doesn’t get any better than this.”

With packages to suit all tastes, visitor’s drive through the picturesque country roads in an open-top 1.8-litre, 150bhp powered Caterham Seven.

Following a carefully mapped out route designed to maximise the enjoyment of Seven motoring, the itinerary can take in a diversity of ‘must see’ places including the Automne River Valley, Cistercian Abbeys, Chateaus and the Albatre coastline. For those gastronomic lovers, lunch at the Michelin starred Auberge Rethondes in Rethondes can also be arranged.

Prices start from as little as 120 Euros for a one-hour tour to 1,450 Euros for a full day’s driving (approx. 200 miles) and jet fighter experience
