BRENTWOOD, 4 December, 2003 – Those looking for the ultimate, head-turning style this Christmas, need look no further than the new Ford Streetka Winter Edition, on the road from £14,995.
Created to mark the introduction of the hard top accessory, the ultra chic Streetka Winter Edition features the standard luxury specification including heated leather seats, air conditioning, ABS, driver and passenger airbags, 16" alloy wheels, engine immobilizer, perimeter alarm, remote central locking and a responsive 1.6-litre engine. In addition, special features on this model include quickclear heated windscreen, 6-disc in-dash CD player, carpet mats and the new colour-coded hard top.
On sale this month, just 500 of these exclusive models will be produced in a range of colours: Pitch Black, Red Hot, Street Silver, French Blue, Envy Green and Storm.
Ford of Britain marketing director, Peter Fleet, said: "The limited Winter Edition is a stunning addition to the Streetka range. It transforms from a sleek coupe in the winter months to a stylish open-top roadster in the summer – and it just adds to the already tremendous appeal of the Streetka brand."
Ford’s baby Streetka caused a sensation when it was launched with the help of Kylie Minogue. Since it went on sale in March 2003, more than 5,000 cars have been delivered to customers in the UK.
Existing Streetka customers will be able to purchase the hard top accessory early in 2004 to fit onto their existing car. Pricing of this option will be announced in the New Year.
