SAVE MONEY WITH HONDA HYBRIDS

The Government's move to cut VED on low emission vehicles smashes the myth that hybrids are more expensive than petrol cars.

A week before Honda launches the new Civic Hybrid, the company welcomed the change to VED reducing the duty on its new Hybrid from £65 a year to £30.

Honda was the first manufacturer to introduce Hybrids to the UK and is committed to delivering affordable cleaner vehicles. The new Civic Hybrid emits just 109g/km and delivers a combined fuel economy of 61.4 miles per gallon.

"It's encouraging to see the government promoting greener driving. Historically consumers have viewed hybrids as being too expensive, but this is changing rapidly. Our new Hybrid will deliver fuel savings, insurance savings and savings in congestion charges that heavily outweigh any extra purchase price," said Steve Oliver, Honda's Head of Customer Division.
