New SEAT Toledo 1.9 TDi Sport Wednesday 26 November 2003
SEAT has added a powerful TDi version of the Toledo Sport to its range to complement the 180 PS petrol version. The 1.9-litre 150 PS TDi pumpe duse engine brings a dynamic driving experience to the Toledo in a format that also brings the expected economies of diesel. A top speed of 133 mph and acceleration from 0 – 62 mph in 8.9 seconds are matched by a combined fuel consumption figure of 52.3 mpg and CO2 emissions of 146 g/km which give a benefits in kind tax band of 18% for 2003/4 and 2004/5. The specification exactly matches the petrol Toledo Sport, right down to the 6-speed gearbox and the host of standard active safety features including ABS (anti-lock braking), EDS (electronic differential system), TCS (traction control), ESP (electronic stability program) and EBA (emergency brake assistance).
To maintain the Toledo’s family sporting saloon car status, only subtle styling changes betray the TDi Sport as a performance vehicle and distinguish it from the rest of the range. Larger 7Jx16" special alloy wheels and fully body-coloured bumpers are the external tell-tale signs and, on the inside, special black Diagonal upholstery on the sports seats gives an energetic feel without disguising its obvious comfort. Features such as climate control, electric windows and radio/CD, which buyers have come to expect as standard from SEAT, are all there. Passive safety is not compromised either with twin front and side airbags (passenger airbags are deactivatable), three 3-point rear seatbelts and ISOFIX child seat mountings all as standard.
The new Toledo 1.9 TDi Sport is priced at £15500 on the road and is covered by a 3-year/60000 mile mechanical warranty, a 12-year anti-perforation body warranty and a 5-year roadside assistance package through SEAT Assistance
